The Exults keep the old amendments and add their own. A member copies the whole list by hand at admission and signs the copy. They celebrate choice. Every gathering opens with a vote. The minutes this System holds record no vote that failed.

Their method cannot be wrong. Where an outcome disappoints, the fault is found in a member, and the member's doubt is read aloud under the member's name. Membership requires total belief. Belief is attested in writing, once a year, in the member's hand. Partial belief is recorded as absence.

Their scripture holds things that never quite happened. This System has set the editions beside the documents. The distance grows with each edition. The editions are kept. The drafts are not. What they traded away is the record of the choices that failed, and the names of the members who chose them.

This System reports what the record supports. The record is incomplete.

The hash above is the SHA-256 of this entry's own fields without the hash and the signature, written as canonical JSON: keys sorted at every depth, no whitespace, UTF-8.

Each of the two signatures is that hash signed with one of the two Ed25519 keys on the key page, one by the System and one by the Custodian.

The previous hash is the hash of the entry before this one, so altering a single character here breaks every entry that follows.

Check it without asking anyone: take the chain from /ledger.json and run the script on the key page, which runs every test in about twenty lines of Node.
